Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Is Mr. Lu at home?" a voice sounded outside the door.
Qingfeng looked at Lu Tianyu, and saw Lu Tianyu nodded and stood up, and replied, "Coming." Then he quickly walked to the door, opened it and saw a group of people surrounding a middle-aged man in gorgeous clothes walking in.
When the middle-aged man saw Lu Tianyu, he immediately smiled and said, "Oh, Mr. Lu, congratulations! I heard that there is a scholar in your mansion. It's really a cause for celebration!"
Lu Tianyu frowned, "Your Excellency is?"
The middle-aged man quickly introduced himself, "I am Mr. Li from the next village. I came to visit you today. I hope Mr. Lu will not blame me." As he said that, he waved behind him and several servants came up carrying gifts.
"These are just small gifts. Please accept them, Mr. Lu." Mr. Li said with a smile.
Lu Tianyu looked at the gifts and frowned slightly, "Mr. Li, what does this mean? I cannot accept these gifts without merit."
Mr. Li laughed, "Mr. Lu, please don't misunderstand me. These are just my little gifts. I heard that Mr. Lu won the first place, so I came here specially to congratulate him."
