Chapter 350 - 349: Not Really Reluctant After All
The two didn’t speak again along the way, and the car continued forward, finally stopping outside Elaine Vaughn’s studio.
Bella Acker said, "I’ll go in first, drive carefully on your way to the company."
"You don’t want me to go in with you?" Damian Sinclair turned his head to look at her.
"I’m going in to talk business, it’s not like last time when we went for dinner." Bella Acker threw him a sarcastic look, opened the car door, and got out. "Hurry up and go to the company, get off work early and take some rest, remember to buy medicine. Bye-bye."
After speaking, she didn’t wait for Damian Sinclair to respond and turned to walk into the studio herself.
But she didn’t really go too far; after entering the studio’s main door, she peeked out from behind a potted plant.
After Damian Sinclair saw her go in, he drove off without stopping.
Seeing him drive away, Bella Acker couldn’t help but pout and mutter, "Leaving so straightforwardly, not even a hint of reluctance."
"What reluctance?" Elaine Vaughn asked softly from behind her.
Bella Acker was startled, turned to see her, and patted her chest, saying, "Ms. Flynn, you scared me to death."
"You’re the one who scared me." Elaine Vaughn laughed, "I saw someone sneaking around at the entrance from behind the glass, thought it was a paparazzo sneaking in to take pictures. What are you sneaking a look at here?" She said, raising her eyes to look out the main door, not seeing anything special.
"I wasn’t looking at anything..." Bella Acker blushed and pretended to be calm, "I was just feeling a bit nervous about meeting the manager, trying to calm down here."
"Stop making excuses." Elaine Vaughn threw her a sarcastic look, turned and walked inside, gesturing her to follow.
Bella Acker breathed a sigh of relief, quickly followed her, and asked quietly, "Ms. Flynn, what’s the manager you found like? I’m a bit slow, and if her temper is a bit fiery, I’m afraid I’ll annoy her too much."
"Haha, silly girl, at least you know yourself well." Elaine Vaughn laughed, "Don’t worry, I made a big effort to recruit her here. Have you heard of Cynthia Young?"
"No." Bella Acker shook her head; besides knowing some famous stars, she didn’t know anyone else in the entertainment circle, let alone anyone in the manager circle.
Elaine Vaughn didn’t seem surprised, "Let me put it this way. You know Winston Sylver, TY-2 group, right?"
"I know them." Bella Acker nodded, "Winston Sylver has become a famous actor in the past two years, and last year he seemed to have won the Best Actor award. I really like listening to TY-2’s songs, they’re great. Aren’t they dominating the charts with every single they release now? They seem really popular."
"They were all newcomers trained by Cynthia Young, this should give you an idea of how amazing she is."
Bella Acker widened her eyes in surprise, "She’s that amazing!"
"Yeah." Elaine Vaughn hummed proudly, "Otherwise, why would I go through such great efforts to bring her here to mentor you? Actually, it’s partly your good luck; Cynthia Young was having issues with her former employer and was preparing to move jobs, otherwise, it would’ve been hard for me to bring her here for you."
"Thank you, Ms. Flynn," Bella Acker sincerely expressed her gratitude.
Ms. Flynn went to such great lengths to find her such a good manager, clearly intending to support her to succeed. If she doesn’t strive, she would really be letting down Ms. Flynn’s kind intentions.
"There’s no need to thank me, I’m doing this to help myself too." Chatting along, the two arrived outside an office.
