That's right, the two people who replaced James and Sirius were James and his wife. They couldn't bear to separate their beloved son from their friends, so they couldn't help but see him off and agreed to their son's "outrageous" plan.
Their plan was to help them take leave for a period of time after they arrived at the school because they could not adapt to the local study and life.
So far, everything was going well, except for Lupin, whose job was to lure Dumbledore away from the deck and distract him from James.

With the sound of a melodious whistle, all the exchange students were ready to set off. The students who came to see them off filled the shore of the Black Lake and the edge of the castle. Everyone waved their arms and flags, wishing them a speedy return after completing their studies.
But Alayya, who was squeezed against the boat window by a dog and a deer, did not see Lupin and felt anxious and sad. Lupin was left alone. He must be very sad, right?
