Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 340 The Doctor Who Fears Spicy Food

Chapter 340 The Doctor Who Fears Spicy Food

As the night deepened, the wind grew cooler.

There were not many Rhodes Island operators still on the deck enjoying the cool air.

There was only one busy barbecue stall and a few tables of people drinking beer.

The two kids found a bench in a quiet corner and sat close to each other.

Look at the moon, count the stars, and share the interesting things encountered in life.

Happy times always pass quickly. It was time to go to bed. Narcissa looked sleepy and yawned deeply.

"Narcissa, you should go back to bed."

Amiya held Narcissa's thin shoulders and shook her gently.

"Well... Sister Amiya, good night..." Narcissa mumbled a few words in a daze, her eyelids becoming heavier. She closed her eyes and leaned on Amiya.

"Mr. Roy, Sister Narcissa is sleepy. Let's take her back."

Amiya helped Narcissa up, looked around the deck, found Roy standing in front of the barbecue stall, and shouted loudly.

"Okay, wait a moment, my skewers will be ready soon. How about it, Amiya, would you like one?" Roy asked enthusiastically as he showed Amiya the skewers of kebab covered with chili powder in his hand.

"Dr. Kal'tsit said that you can't eat greasy or spicy food before going to bed at night." Amiya shook her head repeatedly and rejected Roy's kebab temptation with a firm look.

"Okay, since Amiya doesn't want it, I'll bring it to the doctor..."

"Not even the doctor!" Amiya protested with clenched fists, but Roy waved his hands helplessly. He turned around and took the last skewer from the owner of the barbecue stall and put it in a brown paper bag.

"Amiya, I'll take you back first, and then take Narcissa back to the room." Roy gently picked up the kitten with both hands. She subconsciously rubbed against his warm arms in her sleep.

"Mr. Roy, I can go back by myself. You can take Narcissa back directly." Amiya wanted Narcissa to go back and rest early, so she offered to go back to the dormitory alone.

"It's okay, it won't take much time. Come on, I'll take you home." Roy smiled at Amiya and walked towards the elevator holding the kitten.

......

"Good night, Amiya. I hope you have a good dream tonight." Roy sent Amiya to the dormitory door. She had grown up and had her own little secrets. She took the initiative to choose to live separately from the doctor.

"Well, good night, Mr. Roy. Good night, Narcissa..." Amiya was afraid of waking up the sleeping Narcissa, so she whispered good night to the two of them.

"Rabbits are so cute. Of course, kittens are cute too..." Roy sighed as he left Amiya's dormitory, walked along the corridor for about five minutes, and stopped in front of a familiar dormitory door.

The code names of Shining and Nightingale are posted on the door. This was their former dormitory and it has been preserved until now.

The bedroom has been cleaned quite cleanly by the logistics operators, and the bedding is in classic blue and white.

Roy gently laid Narcissa on the bed and carefully covered her with the quilt.

Worried that Narcissa might be worried if she couldn't find him when she woke up tomorrow, Roy left her a note at the bedside, telling her that his room was next door and that she could knock on the door if she had any problems.

After settling Narcissa down, Roy returned to his old room in Rhodes Island.

As soon as I opened the door, a familiar feeling came over me. The room was dark without lights on.

Roy fumbled for the switch in his memory, and suddenly he saw a figure sitting on the sofa in the living room. He held the running smart terminal in both hands, and his delicate face was illuminated by the cold white light.

As if sensing Roy's gaze, the man sitting quietly on the sofa raised his head and looked towards the door. A pair of diamond-shaped patterns were faintly visible under the cover of his hair.

"Roy, are you hiding something from me?" A cold and emotionless voice came into his ears. Even though he couldn't see the face clearly, Roy immediately recognized the owner of the voice.

"Doc, is that you? Why don't you turn on the light?" Roy pressed the light switch and walked closer to the Doctor on the sofa. The warm orange light dispelled the uneasy atmosphere.

"Answer my question. Are you hiding something important from me?" The doctor stood up and approached Roy step by step. He stared at him with his eyes fixed, feeling a great sense of oppression.

"Doctor, when did you know that?" Roy frowned slightly, with his right hand behind his back, as if ready to take out something at any time.

"Answer my question..." The doctor kept repeating this sentence, not listening to Roy's words at all, as if he had been possessed by another spirit.

However, the slightly upturned corners of his mouth and the cunning flash in his eyes were still noticed by the careful Roy.

"Well... now that it's been exposed, I won't hide it from you anymore." Roy pretended to be regretful and sighed deeply. He took out a fragrant brown paper bag with his right hand and unfolded it in front of the doctor.

"Doctor, you have a very sensitive nose. I brought you some freshly grilled skewers of meat. Come, eat them while they're hot..." Roy smiled and took the doctor's little hand to sit down, picked up a skewer of slightly spicy meat and fed it to her mouth.

"Hmph, you still have to explain it to me clearly after you finish eating." The doctor snorted and opened his mouth to bite off the skewer of meat. The hot and spicy taste danced on the tip of his tongue, making his face red.

"Okay, I'll do as you say. Let's eat it first. It won't taste good if it gets cold." Roy put the brown paper bag on the table and handed the largest skewer of meat to her.

"Hiss, hiss... It's a bit spicy. Do you have any water? I want to drink some water..." The doctor couldn't speak clearly because of the spiciness. He pulled Roy's sleeve for help.

"Huh? The boss told me that it's just slightly spicy. I don't think it's that spicy either... I'll go get you some water." Roy quickly stood up, took a large cup, washed it, and poured a full cup from the water purifier.

"Thank you..." The doctor took the cup of water, tilted his head back, drank it all in one go, and let out a long breath.

"Doctor, it seems that the slightly spicy ones are still too spicy for you. These are not spicy at all. Try this."

"Sizzle, sizzle, it's not that spicy, but it's too numbing. I'd rather not eat something spicy." The doctor knew his own tolerance level for spiciness, so he honestly chose the non-spicy part of the skewers.

......

"Hurp... It tastes good, but I'm a little full." Roy and the doctor finished all the skewers. After the doctor was full, he slumped on the sofa and didn't want to move.

The doctor didn't eat much, he just drank water to get full.

"It's still early, sit down and digest it for a while. Doctor, you haven't showered yet, have you?"

"No, I'll go back and wash it later."

For the two of them who often stay up late, it is only a little after ten o'clock in the evening, which is indeed still early.

"Are you done cleaning up? I'm going to start asking you questions. You must tell the truth and don't lie." The doctor waved at Roy, who had just cleaned up the table, and looked like he was interrogating him.

"Here you are, Doctor, tell me whatever you want to ask."
