Chapter 395 Princess Doya
Chapter 395 Princess Doya
An elegant figure slowly emerged from the gap.
Princess Doya.
Her black hair unfurled in the water, spreading wildly like inky flames. Her aquamarine eyes swept across the temple, finally locking onto the crystal pool. Stygian followed closely behind, his dark brown muscles tensed in the blue light, as he glanced around warily.
Behind Duoya, the giant beast from the abyss poured into the temple like a tide, its huge body filling the space, its black scales reflecting a strange light.
"How touching." Duoya's voice spread through the water, with a biting irony. "The guardian sacrificed himself for the saint. What a great love story."
Kyle protected Rosie behind him, his amber eyes as cold as a knife. "Duoya, what are you doing here?"
Although he'd expected this, Kyle still felt a surge of anger at the sight. This woman had been plotting against them from the beginning.
Luo Xi's eyes flickered between Yu and Duoya. Yu's body was almost transparent, but his eyes were clearer than ever before.
"Xingyu." Duoya called out softly, with complex emotions flashing in her eyes.
Yu—no, Xingyun raised his head slightly, his pale face revealed under his silver hair. "You are here as expected."
Duoya sneered, a trace of pain in her aquamarine eyes. "You still chose to die for her," she pointed at Luo Xi. "But fortunately, the Heart of the Sea God is mine."
Silver hair floated in the water, and Yu's body was nearly transparent. Curse lines crawled across his skin like a black spiderweb. He no longer looked at Duoya, his gaze fixed solely on Luo Xi, as if he wanted to carve her into his soul.
Duoya took a step forward, her azure eyes icy. "The Abyss Clan are descendants of the cursed Sea God Clan. We also need the Heart of the Sea God to lift the curse."
Rosie's heart tightened.
Once again, the gears of fate turned, pushing her to the edge of decision.
"I am a descendant of the Seagod royal family," Duoya said, her voice rising. "I shoulder the mission of saving my people." She pointed at Luo Xi, a glint of contempt in her eyes. "And you, as a saint of the Seagod clan in your previous life, can't even protect your own people. You are unworthy of your position."
Kyle's amber eyes were cold as he stepped in front of Rosie. He said nothing, but his body was tense, ready to strike at any moment.
Duoya held out her hand. "Give me the Heart of the Sea God."
Enzo suddenly said, "No." His amber eyes were clear beneath his black hair. "The rain is connected to the Heart of the Seagod, and the Heart of the Seagod is also needed to resurrect Rhine. It must not be handed over."
Mike frowned. "Is there no way to have the best of both worlds?"
Enzo shook his head. "No. Lifting the curse would drain the energy of the Heart of Poseidon and render it ineffective."
In the crystal pool, the Heart of the Seagod spun faster, its blue light blinding. Yu's body became even more transparent, practically merging into the water.
Duoya pressed on. "You have to give it to me. This is related to the lives of the entire Sea God clan." She stared at Luo Xi. "You are a saint, don't you think about your people?"
Luo Xi was silent. She glanced at the now transparent rain, tears glistening in her eyes. Closing her eyes, she made a difficult decision: "I owed the Sea God Clan a long time ago, didn't I?"
She raised her head, the tears in her eyes replaced by determination. "Right now, I want to be selfish for once."
These words resounded through the temple, their voices rippling the water. A flash of surprise crossed Duoya's eyes, then was instantly consumed by rage. Her mouth twisted, and a chill flashed through her aquamarine eyes.
"In that case, don't blame me for being rude."
With a flick of her wrist, the abyssal beasts behind her surged forward, their black scales gleaming ominously under the dim blue light. The turbulent current of the beasts instantly engulfed the entire space, like a boundless dark tide.
Kyle took a step forward, blocking Rosie's way. His body tensed under the blue light, his long black hair swaying in the water, his amber eyes turning into icy blades.
"If you want to touch her, you have to get past me first."
His voice was calm, yet filled with unquestionable determination.
Black energy erupted from Kyle's body, forming a twisting vortex in the water. A giant abyss beast rushed forward first, and Kyle formed a claw with one hand, and the black energy instantly penetrated the beast's head.
Mike's short golden hair fluttered in the water, and his hands controlled the current, forming countless icicles. The sharp icicles pierced the eyes of several abyssal beasts, causing them to howl in pain, and sound waves resonated in the water.
Although Lu Ye was not as strong as the other two, he still stepped forward. He gathered energy in his hands and barely blocked the impact of an abyssal beast, but was pushed back several meters by the impact.
"What a pity! I didn't mean to hurt anyone." Duoya sighed. A trace of regret flashed across her aqua-blue eyes, then was replaced by coldness. "Mingying, go!"
Dark brown muscles stretched in the water. Phantom transformed into a dark shadow, instantly appearing behind Mike. With a mighty blow, he swung his fist, shattering the golden water barrier. Mike groaned, blood gushing from his mouth, dispersing into a light red mist in the seawater.
"Mike!" Rosie exclaimed.
The abyssal beasts drew ever closer. Kyle's brow furrowed, sweat dripping from his forehead. His amber eyes gleamed with a cold light, but the energy within him was clearly unstable, suppressed by the temple's surroundings.
"Not good." Enzo whispered, his brows furrowed, his amber eyes flickering with nervousness. "This is the ruins of Poseidon. Our power is already suppressed, and it's even more restricted here. If this continues..."
He hadn't finished speaking, but Rosie had already understood what he was about to say. Their situation was extremely dangerous.
Enzo's expression suddenly changed, and his pupils shrank sharply: "Be careful!"
He flashed and lunged towards Rosie. The air was torn apart, and a black energy wave rushed straight towards Rosie's face.
Stygian struck with breathtaking speed. His dark brown muscles tensed and gathered strength in the water, each one displaying terrifying power.
At the critical moment, a figure stood in front of Duoya.
Falcon.
His eyes were bloodshot, his muscles bulged, and the aura he exuded was no longer human. The evil thoughts of the Heavenly Dao raged within him, devouring his remaining sanity. Rosie saw a flash of clarity in his eyes, but it was quickly drowned out by the crimson.
"Get out of here." Duoya's voice was icy cold.
Falcon's chest heaved, his breathing was heavy, and his eyes were bloodshot. He growled like a beast from deep in his throat, and the next second, he pounced on Duoya.
Duoya's expression changed, and she retreated quickly. Dark Shadow immediately stepped forward, his dark brown body tangling with Falcon. The two figures intersected in the water, stirring up countless vortexes of bubbles.
"Falcon!" Rosie's voice was hoarse and filled with tears.
Veins bulged in Falcon's neck as he rained down blows on Shadow. Each blow was delivered with a resolute force, as if igniting his own life. Even if consumed by evil, even if he threatened to lose his mind forever, he still fought for her.
The shadow dodged and struck Falcon in the abdomen with a backhand strike. Falcon groaned and spat out a mouthful of blood, which dissipated into a red mist in the water. But his gaze remained firm, and he did not retreat a single step.
"You can't take the Heart of the Sea God away." Yu's voice came from afar, weak but firm, "It has already recognized its master."
In the center of the crystal pool, the Heart of the Seagod spun faster and faster, its blue light gradually tinged with red. Yu's body became almost transparent, leaving only her pair of auspicious phoenix eyes as clear as ever.
Duoya's face suddenly changed: "Impossible! You can't do this!"
"It's too late."
The corners of Yu's mouth curled up slightly, and the hideous scar in the center of his transparent body completely split open. The blood turned into countless tiny red dots in the dark blue water, and was absorbed one by one by the Heart of the Sea God, like stars falling into the deep sea.
Rosie's heart suddenly ached, and an irresistible resonance surged through her body, as if something deep within her soul had been awakened. A surge of blue energy erupted from the Heart of Poseidon, sweeping across the entire temple and shaking every stone wall.
"Xixi, keep it." Yu's last words were as light as a sigh, floating in the water.
The Heart of Poseidon broke free from the crystal pool, cutting through the current and heading straight for Rosie. Rosie subconsciously reached out her hand, and the blue crystal fell into her palm, then melted into her skin and disappeared without a trace.
Instantly, an unprecedented power erupted from Rosie's body. She felt every cell in her body leap for joy, her blood boiling. All the black lines faded, replaced by a blue halo that enveloped her entire body. She had never felt such power before, surging yet uncontrollable.
"No!" Duoya roared hysterically, anger and jealousy burning in her aquamarine eyes. "That's mine! Mingying, kill her!"
Styx pushed Falcon away, his dark brown muscles tensed in the water, and rushed towards Rosie, creating a whirlpool of water.
Kyle stepped forward, blocking the way to Stygian. His black hair danced wildly in the water, his amber eyes piercing. He stood in front of Rosie, radiating murderous intent.
However, Rosie raised her hand and gently waved it. A blue screen of light appeared out of thin air, sending the shadow flying several meters away. Her eyes shone with an unprecedented brightness, and the power contained within her suffocated and oppressed everyone present.
"That's enough, Duoya." Luo Xi's voice was calm, yet it contained undeniable strength. Every word weighed heavily. "This fight should end."
Duoya's face twisted, her aquamarine eyes filled with hostility: "Do you think you can win by getting the Heart of the Sea God?"
Duoya suddenly waved her hand, and dozens of abyss beasts behind her rushed towards Luo Xi. Their black scales flashed coldly under the blue light, and their huge bodies stirred the water, causing huge waves.
Rosie's eyes closed slightly, and when she opened them again, they had turned a pure, deep blue, as if containing the entire ocean. She raised her hand, and a beam of blue light shot out from her fingertips, splitting into countless tiny points of light in the water, enveloping each roaring abyssal beast.
Miraculous changes then occurred—the black lines on the behemoth's body slowly faded away, the blood in its eyes gradually disappeared, all the abyss behemoths moved slowly, and eventually fell into a dormant state, floating quietly in the water.
Duoya's face was distorted, and her aquamarine eyes were filled with fear and shock: "What did you do to them?"
Luo Xi looked at Duoya calmly: "It's nothing, I just put them into a deep sleep. When the power of the Heart of the Sea God is restored, they can lift the curse."
