HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 228: Criticizing Sang and Huai

Chapter 228: Criticizing Sang and Huai

This headline report written by Rita Skeeter completely turned everyone's attention back to the Ministry of Magic, which seemed to be hiding important information.

The joint prison break incident, in which those who escaped were serious Death Eaters, made some wizards realize that something was wrong.

Umbridge was so furious that she didn't call anyone to talk to, but Gloria could feel her anger.

I think the same is true for Fudge.

Skeeter was so excited. During this period, she became completely famous and became the most famous journalist in the UK.

Of course the Ministry of Magic caused trouble for the newspaper, but Gloria was not worried at all because she had her own accomplices.

Whenever there was a Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Umbridge would stare at her, with resentment in her eyes almost overflowing.

Discussions about these issues in school have reached an unprecedented level.

In addition to what was happening outside, everyone in the school knew that Professor Trelawney and Hagrid were being targeted, and Umbridge was determined to expel one of them.

Coupled with the report questioning the Ministry of Magic, both professors were extremely nervous.

Gloria had no idea what was going on in the Divination class, but Hagrid stuttered during the class, as if his mind was filled with confusion.

If this continued, she was really worried that Umbridge would change her mind at the last minute.

Before the Care of Magical Creatures class, Gloria went to the hut to find Hagrid in advance.

As soon as I pushed the door open, I saw the huge figure sitting there, muttering to himself, and it was obvious that he was preparing for the course.

"Leah—why are you here? Sit down!"

Gloria came in and said directly: "Hagrid, Umbridge will definitely fire a professor."

Hagrid thought a lot in a moment. When he saw Gloria coming to see him, he had some guesses in his mind and suddenly became depressed.

"I'm right, right?" he said sullenly.

"Not you," Gloria said. "If you were fired, you could openly help Dumbledore. Fudge won't let that happen."

Hagrid was immediately delighted. He really loved this teaching job. "Really?"

Gloria nodded, "But don't be so nervous. I'm worried that Umbridge will change her mind. Remember not to teach those dangerous creatures, at least until everything is over."

After the joy, Hagrid began to feel guilty, "It's not that I was fired, it's that..."

Gloria was too lazy to comfort him and just said, "Instead of feeling guilty, you might as well catch more Mortra rats."

Hagrid didn't know Umbridge's method of punishment yet, so she briefly explained it.

This usually good-tempered half-blood giant suddenly stood up, and his already fluffy and messy hair almost all exploded at this moment.

"What a shameless fellow! Headmaster Dumbledore has clearly stipulated that corporal punishment of students is not allowed!"

He felt sad to think of the students being tortured like this, especially the Gryffindor students.

"Calm down Hagrid, Umbridge has more power. Even Headmaster Dumbledore cannot fight against the education order issued by the Ministry of Magic." She said, "Now we need to try to prevent them from being punished."

Hagrid's whole shoulders slumped and tears streamed from his black, shell-like eyes.

“They’re destroying this school.”

Hogwarts is his second home, as important as Headmaster Dumbledore.

Gloria changed her calm tone and said gently: "I won't let them ruin this place. Hogwarts has a share of Slytherin."

I hope he will perform better in the next classes.

Gloria didn't know how long Hagrid had been crying, but she noticed that his eyes were a little swollen during class.

He lost all his previous anxiety and glared at Umbridge who was watching.

There was a murmur of discussion around for a while.

"Is it confirmed that he is the teacher who was fired?"

"Maybe. Looking at his expression, he seems to be expressing anger."

"I quite like Hagrid's class..."

Draco looked at Gloria questioningly and she shook her head slowly.

"Alright, keep quiet. Class is starting now!" Hagrid called everyone. "Today we're going to learn about Murtala Rat!"

A hairless rat-like creature was held in Hagrid's hand. It had an anemone-like tumor on its back, and its mouth was baring large teeth, and it was chirping.

After two years of teaching Hagrid about all sorts of weird creatures, the Murtra Rat seemed pretty normal to them.

"See this tumor on the back?" He pointed at the twitching tentacles. "Eating it can enhance your resistance to curses and bad luck. Remember to pickle it in advance."

This statement successfully made the students frown.

Hagrid waved his free hand. "There's something more practical. It's the juice secreted from their tentacles. It's filtered and pickled Mothra Rat juice. It's effective in relieving pain. If you have a wound on your body, just use this juice."

The Gryffindor students began to whisper, thinking of the classmates who were given detention by Umbridge.

Hagrid looked Umbridge straight in the eye and said, "Any wizard who hurts innocent people is a scum. I hope that every student here will not become that kind of person after graduation!"

Many people turned around to look at Umbridge. The smile on that toad face could not be maintained and her eyes were gloomy.

Hagrid did not shy away from this, "Even if I am not teaching at school one day, I will fight this scum to the end!"

After the indirect criticism, many students covered their mouths and laughed.

Gloria looked back at Umbridge's expression and led the applause, "Well said Hagrid, scum deserves to go to Azkaban!"

The others applauded, and Umbridge couldn't stand it anymore, so she stood up and left angrily.

·

"Did you see her face?" Draco said with a smile. "It looks like she's going to spit fire any second."

"Of course I saw it." Gloria was in a very good mood, "I didn't expect Hagrid to be so sharp."

He cursed Umbridge in a roundabout way.

The two arrived at the Chamber of Secrets. All the afternoon classes were over. Although Hagrid was angry, he did not forget to assign homework.

Soon after he sat down, the two-way mirror belonging to Sirius flickered.

As soon as I saw the person in the mirror, someone said, "Well done, Leah. The Ministry of Magic has lifted the surveillance on me, and I don't have to be interrogated every day."

Gloria relaxed. "That's good. There's absolutely no problem with your case. But what can they ask you?"

"A lot of things, especially about Dumbledore. Of course I didn't say a word." Sirius said, "They found out that I went to the Netherlands once, when I was investigating a mysterious wizard. I said I was traveling, but they didn't believe me. There was nothing I could do."

Gloria glanced at Draco across from her, "It's a good thing you can get rid of these as soon as possible, otherwise they will take a long time with you."

Sirius nodded, "I noticed that, so I went over every word in my mind. But the Ministry is bustling."

"You have to be careful when you travel recently. Don't sneak into school. It will be bad if you are seen." Gloria reminded him.

"When are you going to Hogsmeade? We'll meet at the Hog's Head Inn." Sirius said, "Be careful at school. I heard Fudge is mad."

Of course Gloria knew how angry Fudge was. The reason Sirius was able to finish the interrogation so quickly was the result of a group of insiders working together to put pressure on him.
