Chapter 10 Going up the mountain

Wen Zixun looked over at the sound and saw a really big fish in the crevice of the rock!

Once they reached a shady spot, she cradled Wen Luozhi's head in her hands and was relieved to see that there was no blood on her forehead.

Wen Luozhi shoved the earthenware pot she was carrying into her arms and said with a smile, "What could I possibly be here for? I came to bring you water because I feel sorry for you, Mother."

"Mom, quickly drink this water and see how it is."

Hearing that it was water cooked by her daughter, Xie He beamed with joy and said, "A meal cooked by my daughter is sure to be sweeter than a mother's heart!"

She glared at Wen Zixun again and shouted, "Protect your sister well! If you don't, you'll regret it!"

Wen Zixun shrank back behind his father in fear. Wen Muchuan stood to the side with a stern face and repeated his wife's words, "Keep a close eye on your skin!" Wen Zixun was on the verge of tears.

Wen Luozhi quickly stepped in to smooth things over, pulling Xie He's hand and pleading, "Mom, it's cooler in the mountains, and we'd love to go play there!"

"No!" Three voices rang out at the same time. Wen Ziming, with a stern face, said in a serious tone, "The mountains are dangerous. You can't go!"

Wen Muchuan nodded and advised, "Luo Luo, go home and play. Dad will buy you something delicious when we go to the market."

She looked at Xie He pitifully, and Xie He glared at her and shook her head.
