Chapter 200: From Worm To Ass
Chapter 200: From Worm To Ass
Seeing that there was no response from behind the doors, Torq crept forward, pressed his mouth right upon the crease in the door, and whispered, "Ding...Ding...! You have a delivery."
"Is the delivery handsome?" Came a whisper from the other side. It was apparent NelTara was whispering from behind the crease, the same as Torq.
"Obviously," Torq whispered, "There isn’t anyone more handsome in all of Sumatra’s history."
"In terms of face, yes..." NelTara whispered from the other side, "But the height..."
"You win some, you lose some." Torq uttered.
The door immediately opened with a bang as an excited NelTara dawned upon him, "You’ve finally accepted your shortness!"
"I’m merely nine years old." Torq shrugged, "I will continue to grow until I tower over everyone."
"Tower over their toes, yes." NelTara nodded in acceptance, "That you will."
The duo bantered for some more time as NelTara took out some refreshments. And soon, it was time to assemble at the biggest tower in the colony.
FyorBuntara stood on the roof of the tower and watched his squad members, numbering 120 in total, gather before him in columns of twenty.
"The Empyrean Tusk has already entered the Sandy-Grey Void." He then pointed towards the ceiling with his index finger, as if waiting for something. And soon, right as there was a faint rumble, he uttered, "Now, we’ve left Sumatra’s influence."
Boom!
Immediately as if in response, the entire world around them rumbled, generating faint quakes across the place. However, a mysterious field of gravity kept everything stable, ensuring none of the people or items within experienced any shockwaves.
Primary Nature–Internal Inertial Gravity!
It allowed the Empyrean Tusk to generate fields of gravity potent with the power of inertia, ensuring an object in a state of rest will remain as such, and similarly, any object in a state of motion will remain as such, irrespective of the external force acting upon it.
Throughout the interior of the Empyrean Tusk, this field will exist, causing the Mammoth Clansmen living within to live freely, without any rocking experience. Moreover, by concentrating this field, the Empyrean Tusk can compress the space within an object, allowing the creation of biomes within its internal organs.
This was the same principle behind the existence of Storage Lanterns.
And finally, the Empyrean Tusk, by relying on this principle, is able to make its body heavier or lighter according to its needs. By raising the density, it could also improve its toughness.
The Empyrean Tusk varies this as it pleases across various situations it faces as a result of its nomadic habit.
Even though both and Empyrean Tusk and and Empyrean Snapper are said to be on part with each other in terms of strength, while the Empyrean Snapper lives unbothered in a water body it controls, the Empyrean Tusk constantly intrudes upon the territories of various Pranic Beast races across the Grade spectrum.
This accumulation of experience gives the Empyrean Tusk an edge over the Empyrean Snapper if they were to ever fight.
And throughout the Era of the Empyrean Boar King, the Empyrean Tusks constantly fought against Brangara, for it was a contest of survival. That accumulation of experience pushed the strength of the Mammoth Clan to far eclipse the Cooter Clan in the last century.
’I remember him being mentioned in the book.’ Torq thought as he eyes FyorBuntara, ’He must have heard about the Mammoth Clan’s achievements in their final fight against the Ancestor.’
He wondered why Fyorbuntara didn’t talk about much detail regarding the Empyrean Tusks, but to him, it didn’t matter much. And hence, he silently listened to the other party speak from above the tower.
"I’ll tell you about the Potential Squad’s objective." While Torq reeled in his thoughts, FyorBuntara got serious and began speaking, "First, you’ll be hunting Pranic Beasts from Nusantara."
"They are all Expert Gold Grade Pranic Beasts. Therefore, you are to do your best to kill and consume them. Eating their flesh will obviously hasten your maturity and bring you closer to your peak strength." He then stressed further, "By the end of our two years here, I want everyone here to reach a level where you can kill at least take on four of our enemies singlehandedly and emerge victorious without losing any lives."
"Second," His gaze fell upon the people below, focusing on each face one after another, "You are to research and develop the means to counter their strengths."
"Our enemies will have existences capable of using both Harmony and Unity, especially the latter. Your objective is to figure out a way to survive their Unity and most of all, figure out a counter." He explained, "If the lot of you combined can figure out even a single counter towards a State of Unity, our expedition can be labelled a success."
"You can move as you see fit, whether individually or as a team." FyorBuntara addressed the situation, "However, you shouldn’t go beyond two kilometres from my position. Otherwise, I cannot protect you."
"And worst of all," He expressed his alarm, "If any of you were to get caught by the enemies, do not hesitate to kill yourselves."
"We don’t want the enemies to research our bodies and figure out the secrets related to our strength." He warned, "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Squad Leader!" Everyone shouted.
"Louder!" Fyorbuntara bellowed, "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Squad Leader!" Everyone raised their voices.
"If captured, what will you do?" He roared higher.
"Kill myself!" The squad hollered.
"Again!" He roared to his utmost.
"Kill! Myself!" The squad roared as a faint aurora formed overhead for a couple seconds and then dissipated.
"Good, this ought to do it." FyorBuntara nodded in satisfaction upon seeing the aurora.
...
Varahan Enclave!
At the moment the Empyrean Tusk began to move towards the Sandy-Grey Void. A creature sneaked in through underground and tailed it.
With the Empyrean Tusk’s size, the distance of four kilometres to the Sandy-Grey Void could be covered in a matter of seconds, even when walking slowly. Soon, its front entered the curtain of night.
Right as the rear of its body was about to vanish behind the curtain of night, the creature tailing from underground shot out like an arrow, aiming directly for the Empyrean Tusk’s ass.
It was Virala, in his Mystic Ewworm form. The Mystic Ewworm was a Mystic Grade variant of the Ewworm, specifically created by Virala to become his Secondary Body. In this transformed state, it was extremely difficult to detect him, which was how he infiltrated the Varahan Empire, breached through the Wean Clan’s defences, and even entered the Varahan Enclave.
He had aimed it as such, he emerged out of the ground at the exact moment the Empyrean Tusk’s rearmost body part moved past the curtain of night.
This way, the Empyrean Tusk’s Prana detection means won’t sense his approach. And as for him, he had calculated based on the Empyrean Tusk’s speed of gait to accurately launch himself towards its ass.
And thanks to the Ewworm’s characteristics, even if he couldn’t use its Nature, it was still the easiest for him to seek refuge within its ass.
’Infiltration success!’ Virala thought as he snuggled within a ginormous cave.
