Chapter 221 It smells so good, can I drink your blood?
"No, mmm." Lin Shuwan's mouth was sealed, so she could only keep giving Tronos meaningful glances.
"Behave yourself." Draven glared fiercely at Lin Shuwan, then turned to Tronos and said, "What, you don't dare?"
Tronos withdrew his gaze from Lin Shuwan, a smile playing on his lips, but his eyes were indifferent as if he were looking at a dying man when he looked at Draven.
He raised his hand and the dagger spun and landed in his palm. He casually toyed with it. "I dare to give it to you, but I'm afraid you won't have the life to drink it."
Tronos's calm tone suddenly reminded Draven of the dark period when the name Tronos had loomed over him.
Because of his childhood experiences, Tronos felt an extreme hatred for vampires when he first awakened.
He was determined to kill all the vampires.
The vampires have tried to unite against them, but they are often burned to ashes before they can even get close.
Tronos only stopped when most of the purebloods were almost wiped out and the remaining vampires became quiet and dared not go out casually.
But to this day, Tronos remains at the top of the list of dangerous vampires.
Therefore, even after controlling Lin Shuwan, Draven only dared to ask Tronos to use their specially made dagger to cut the wound and draw some blood.
They were afraid that if their demands were too high, they would anger him and kill them all without a second thought.
As for controlling Lin Shuwan to kill Tronos, he dared not do it at all.
Didn't he see that last time in Atherton, he only controlled people to take a few glances from a distance before Tronos noticed?
If we get closer, we'll probably find out even faster.
At this moment, Draven couldn't help but shiver, somewhat annoyed by his earlier dismissive attitude. Fearing that Tronos might abandon Lin Shuwan outright, he could only force a smile and say:
"Sir, all we want is a little blood. Don't worry, we'll release Aurora once we get the blood."
"Then why use this dagger..." Tronos's fingers deftly moved along the hilt of the knife, and the dagger flipped deftly in his palm.
"This, this dagger is for drawing blood, right, Eve?" Draven's forehead was almost covered in cold sweat. He subconsciously looked at Eve, hoping she would smooth things over.
Unexpectedly, Eve stared at Tronos and said bluntly, "It's poisoned."
"Eve! What are you saying!"
Draven almost shouted out loud, then said to Tronos with a small, anxious but trying-to-cover-up smile, "She just likes to joke around, haha."
Eve ignored Draven and pointed at the dagger, continuing, "I've coated this with a medicine that's harmful to the witch race. If you touch it, you'll completely lose your witch power."
"If you want to save her, cut your skin with the dagger; if you don't, leave on your own."
"Don't even think about killing Draven to save her. Vampires have strong control over the vampires they've transformed. Unless you can kill her instantly, every extra second she spends will be her death alongside Draven."
"You're asking for death!" Draven pulled Lin Shuwan closer to Eve, his eyes dark as he whispered.
"What is your purpose in doing this?" Tronos was also quite surprised.
Eve's tone was calm yet reminiscent, "I just want to know if there really are witches in this world who would die for vampires."
"However, if you are unwilling, I only hope that you can let me go because I have been honest."
“It’s us,” Draven whispered in agreement.
Tronos's expression was calm, and his sharp jawline appeared cold and hard in the moonlight: "You're quite clever, you've turned a conspiracy into an open one."
Eve looked him straight in the eye: "That depends on whether you're willing or not."
"Looks like I have to congratulate you. I do have to fall into this trap, but..."
Tronos snapped his fingers, and a glass appeared in his hand. "Apart from this one, I've never really liked other vampires sucking my blood. You don't mind if I use a glass to hold it, do you?"
“I don’t mind, of course I don’t mind.” Seeing the unexpected turn of events, Draven quickly replied before Eve could speak.
Tronos gave Lin Shuwan a reassuring look, then promptly made a cut on his wrist.
Blood sizzled and dripped down his wrist before entering the cup.
"Tick-tock, tick-tock," time suddenly slowed down.
Draven's lustful gaze nearly pierced Tronos's wrist, his Adam's apple bobbing as he barely suppressed the urge to rush forward and drink his blood.
Eve simply watched quietly, her eyes so calm that she seemed to feel no desire whatsoever for the blood of the witches.
"Aren't you afraid the medicine won't work?" Tronos suddenly asked.
"No, I used this medicine to kill a witch before."
Eve looked up, her gaze blankly fixed on the distance, then turned back to Tronos with her usual expression. "You can try lighting a fire."
"It seems to be having some effect." Tronos looked at his palm, where the sparks he had generated were slowly getting smaller.
"It's possible that your own strength is so great that the medicine needs some time to take effect."
Draven's face lit up with joy. Between waiting for the drug to take full effect and drinking the blood immediately, he chose the latter: "Then, how about I try this cup of blood first?"
“Whatever,” Tronos said.
“Aurora, go and get it,” Draven said.
Lin Shuwan's legs moved uncontrollably toward Tronos, step by step, her eyes filled with anxiety.
Tronos remained calm and readily handed her the cup. "Don't worry, it'll be over soon."
The glass was quickly in Draven's hands, but just as he was about to drink, he suddenly stopped and cautiously handed the glass to Lin Shuwan: "You take a sip first."
After Lin Shuwan tried it, Draven waited a while longer. Seeing that there was nothing unusual, he drank the rest of the blood.
"It's so delicious!"
Draven licked his lips, looking at the bloodstains on the glass with a hint of regret, before staring at Tronos with bloodshot eyes, the desire in his eyes almost tangible.
He bared his fangs and asked, "Now it should be fully effective, and I can't wait to take a sip."
“It’s alright now, the flames he started have completely disappeared.” Eve murmured, her expression enigmatic. “There really is a witch willing to give up her life for a vampire…”
Draven ignored her melancholy and teleported directly in front of Tronos, grabbing his shoulder and opening his mouth as if to bite.
Unfortunately, the moment the fangs touched his skin, he turned to ashes before he could even react.
Tronos patted the shoulder that Draven had just touched with disdain. "I told you before, I don't like other vampires sucking my blood."
The next second she appeared in front of Lin Shuwan and shielded her to her side.
"Tronos! You're alright!" Lin Shuwan, now free, threw herself into his arms.
“You…, impossible, how could this be?” Eve, who should have fled immediately after Draven’s death, froze in place for some reason, her pupils trembling, staring blankly at Tronos.
