The guard sitting next to him ignored the man's roar and instead swung his long whip even harder.

Fan Zhe wasn't worried about being exposed at all. His expression became increasingly ferocious as he lowered his head and leaned close to Lin Rusi's ear.
He wanted to make a sound to get people to cooperate with him, but suddenly felt a slight pain on his face.
He shoved the person away, then touched his face to make sure he wasn't bleeding before looking at the disheveled Lin Rusi on the ground.
"Very well, since Madam is unwilling to cooperate, don't blame me for being impolite."
The next moment, Fan Zhe raised his hand and slapped Lin Rusi on the head, and she stopped breathing, her eyes wide open as she stared at the ground.
