Chapter 90 [The Eye of Time]
Chapter 90 [The Eye of Time]
Blood Moon Storm
As I recited the figure's movements, I recalled the feeling of fighting against the phantom puppet during training.
Roar!
The monster roared in pain again as my bullet pierced its eye, its most vital organ.
Its body is filled with toxins, and its wounds are beginning to take effect. The pain it is enduring is unbearable, and I will use this to gain the upper hand.
I channeled my magic and felt the attack patterns I needed to execute replay before my eyes.
I need to know where to attack, where to move, and where to swing my sword.
Whoosh!
With a merciless attack, I suddenly lunged at the Time Guardian, my crimson-infused dagger slicing through the air with deadly force.
The smell of blood filled my body, and with each attack, my reason slowly crumbled.
My attacks were fierce and deadly, targeting every vulnerable point of the Boss.
My dagger danced in the air, creating a deadly storm of attacks.
The monster tried to defend itself, but my relentless offensive gave it no chance to gain control.
cut!
The feeling I had when sparring with the phantom puppet drove me forward, swiftly carving wounds into the monster's body.
With each swing, the monster's power gradually weakened.
Its once mountain-like physique began to crumble under my relentless assault.
Pfft!
Blood splattered, mixing with the rain, creating a gruesome scene of battle.
Roar!
The roar of the Time Guardian filled the air. The monster was now my target, and I felt I wouldn't stop until it died.
It's time to end this.
As I felt the mana threads and the mana imprints I left with my swings gradually complete, I knew the battle was finally nearing its end.
The monsters inflicted several wounds on me during the battle, but in my Bloodlust state, I didn't feel any pain at all.
There was only one thought in my mind: to kill the monster in front of me.
Whoosh!
I smoothly leaped backward, creating some distance between us.
I clenched my hands tightly.
Blood Moon Cage
With my gesture, the crimson threads I left behind using my magic quickly tightened, beginning to surround the monster.
Roar!
It was like a wild beast trapped in a cage, the monster roaring and feeling the fear of death.
Pfft!
As the threads tightened, they began to pierce the monster's body from all sides. I clenched my fists even tighter, continuously channeling magic into the threads.
With one last exertion, I poured all the remaining magic power into the silk thread.
Snap Snap
The boss monster trembled violently, its form becoming unstable. The rain seemed to mourn for it, mingling with its final cries.
"Roar--!!"
Pfft!
The monster let out a desperate roar, its last cry of defiance, before its body was torn to pieces the moment the threads closed.
The battle was won, and the guardian of this place finally perished.
Tick
After the battle, I stood on the rain-soaked battlefield, my dagger stained with monster blood.
Da da da
The rain continued to fall, washing away the traces of the battle.
The ensuing silence was suffocating, a stark contrast to the fierce fighting and roars that had followed.
"Ha ha……"
As the adrenaline gradually subsided, I could feel my rationality slowly returning, and the aftereffects of the battle began to appear.
The hazy red mist that had enveloped me during the battle began to dissipate, leaving only exhaustion and a strange sense of clarity. All the potions I had forced myself to take had pushed my body to its limits once again, but I had now returned to normal.
I gritted my teeth, and the pain from the battle began to slowly spread.
Suddenly, a gentle light emanated from the remains of the Time Guardian and enveloped me.
It was a soothing radiance, warm and comforting. The light seemed to penetrate my body, giving me a sense of accomplishment and victory.
I felt a surge of energy, a completely new sensation blossoming within me. A skill awakened by victory.
'It's finally here.'
This is the main reason why I've come this far, entered this place, and fought monsters stronger than me.
[A Gaze at Time]
As the knowledge of this new skill unfolded in my mind, a flood of emotions and memories surged through me. Just like in the past, the ways of using this skill were deeply etched into my memory.
The details of this skill look the same as in the game.
As the memories of the skills gradually surfaced in my mind, I felt that their content was different from that in the game, and some aspects had changed.
This is a skill that allows players to perceive and interact with time, slowing its flow. This will enable players to better dodge attacks and give them more time to make decisions.
However, things are different now. With my memory, I should now be able to gaze upon the flow of time, giving me insight and advantage in battle and exploration.
The reason for the change is quite simple.
"The skills [Time Gaze] and [Keen Eye] have been merged."
The game features a mechanism that allows players to merge similar skills to create more powerful and advanced abilities. This is primarily because without this mechanism, it would be difficult to assign specific hotkeys to each skill and use them effectively.
As I gradually became aware of what I had accomplished in this difficult trial, that name also came to mind.
The Eye of Time
That's the name of the skill. But this skill doesn't exist in the game.
'state.'
I mentally summoned the status window and immediately saw the panel in front of me.
There, the skill [Eye of Time] was listed in the

When the panel appeared in front of me, I saw the effect of the skill, and as I expected, the skill level increased.
The rarity of a skill represents its level. Just like materials, the higher the skill level and the more powerful it is, the rarer it becomes.
This logic also applies to skills.
In short, the [Eye of Time] skill is a rare ability that provides users with the ability to perceive time and their surroundings, while also increasing their field of vision.
When mana is infused into this skill, it allows the user to effectively control their perception of time, making events appear to happen more slowly. At the same time, the user can also increase their field of vision as desired.
As mana input increases, this time manipulation effect becomes more pronounced. This is partly due to the skill [Time Gaze].
On the other hand, users gain a stronger awareness of their surroundings and the events unfolding around them, while also increasing the range of environments they can observe. This is partly due to the skill "Keen Eyes".
This enhanced time awareness helps in making accurate decisions and enables users to react quickly and precisely.
'This skill is truly tailor-made for a ranger like me.'
The current "Eye of Time" is like the "Dead Eye" from a Western game.
Now that I have this skill, it has greatly enhanced my overall combat capabilities. No matter how fast a person's mind works, the process of sending signals to the body and having them received by the body will still have a delay.
Now, with this skill, I can react quickly and fire a large number of bullets rapidly.
As the excitement of victory faded, I realized that my body bore the marks of the battle.
The adrenaline finally subsided, replaced by muscle soreness and fatigue. It was time to treat the wound and recover.
I reached for the spatial bracelet, which contained bottles of healing potions.
Glug!
I quickly opened several bottles of medicine, drank them, and felt the soothing effect of the medicine on my body. The medicine worked its magic, healing my wounds and restoring my energy.
Relieved, I started walking towards the edge of the battlefield, intending to find a safe place to rest and recover. But just as I took a few steps, I felt a strange sensation, as if the ground was moving.
Whoosh! Buzz!
Before I could react, the ground collapsed, and I was sucked into a vortex. The feeling was dizzying and unsettling.
Everything around me became blurry and distorted; the rain and the trees gradually disappeared. In this chaotic vortex, all I could do was prepare myself for what was to come.
The feeling of moving was like being trapped in a vortex, surrounded by chaos, with disordered colors intertwining into a nauseating kaleidoscope.
Bang
This state didn't last long; soon, with a thud, I landed back on the ground.
I stumbled forward, my head spinning, and struggled to regain my balance.
I found myself standing in an unfamiliar place, the Forest of Time and the Guardians of Time long forgotten. The surroundings were strange, a stark contrast to the terrifying atmosphere of the dungeon I had just experienced.
Before me stretched a vast plain, bathed in the soft light of the setting sun. It was a tranquil and peaceful scene, completely different from the trials I had just endured.
I suddenly realized that I had been teleported out of the dungeon, out of the Forest of Time, or more accurately, out of the Rainforest.
“For me, 30 days have passed, but here, it may only be one day.”
I murmured to myself, gazing at the scenery before me.
However, before I could continue speaking, I suddenly heard a voice.
"Someone's coming out..."
