Chapter 113: The Magical Market
Liu Yu and his companions slept soundly at the inn in the small town, and the next day they continued their journey refreshed. That day, they arrived at a bustling place where a magical market was being held.
As soon as Liu Yu entered the market, she was stunned by the sight before her. A dazzling array of magical items were on display, including flying brooms, tents that could change size, and self-playing musical instruments.
Liu Yu excitedly wandered between the stalls, and saw a pair of glittering magic boots on one of them. Curious, he picked them up and asked the stall owner, "What magical powers do these boots have?"
The stall owner smiled mysteriously and said, "These boots allow you to travel ten miles in one stride."
Liu Yu's eyes lit up, and he immediately put on the boots and tried them on. He had just taken a step when he "whooshed" out and crashed directly into the opposite wall, falling flat on his back.
Xu Xian and Xiao Qing couldn't help but burst into laughter when they saw his disheveled appearance.
Liu Yu got up from the ground, rubbing her head, and said, "These boots are amazing, I wasn't ready."
They continued walking and came across a stall selling magic potions. Liu Yu picked up a bottle of green potion and asked, "What's this potion for?"
The stall owner said, "Drinking this potion will turn you into a superhero."
Without saying a word, Liu Yu opened the bottle and drank it down. As a result, his body instantly swelled up, turning him into a giant and knocking over the surrounding stalls.
The stall owner turned pale with fright and said, "Oh dear, you've had too much to drink, the medicine is too strong!"
Liu Yu looked at his enormous body, at a loss. Bai Suzhen quickly used her magic to restore Liu Yu to normal.
Liu Yu said with lingering fear, "I will never drink medicine indiscriminately again."
Just then, they heard a commotion. It turned out that a child had accidentally let go of a magic balloon, which had flown away, and was now crying and refusing to leave.
Liu Yu walked over and said, "Little friend, don't cry, I'll help you get the balloon back."
He used a little magic to try and pull the balloons over, but the spell went out of control and pulled all the balloons in the market together, forming a huge pile of balloons that buried everyone underneath.
After finally managing to climb out of the pile of balloons, everyone cast reproachful glances at Liu Yu.
Liu Yu smiled awkwardly and said, "It was an accident, an accident."
They came to a stall selling magical pets, and Liu Yu saw an adorable little dragon and wanted to buy it.
The stall owner said, "This little dragon is not easy to raise; it has a very bad temper."
Liu Yu didn't take it seriously and said, "I can tame it."
He bought the little dragon, and as soon as he held it in his arms, the little dragon breathed fire at him, burning his hair.
Liu Yu was so frightened that she quickly threw Xiaolong out. Xiaolong then started breathing fire all over the market, causing panic.
Xu Xian and Xiao Qing went through a lot of effort to finally catch the little dragon.
Liu Yu touched her singed hair and said, "This little dragon is too fierce."
Next, Liu Yu saw a stall selling magical food, including dancing cakes and singing ice cream. He bought an ice cream, and as soon as he took a bite, it started singing an awful song that almost deafened Liu Yu.
He angrily exclaimed, "What kind of lousy ice cream is this?!"
The stall owner said helplessly, "This ice cream is in a bad mood, so its singing is awful."
Liu Yu was both amused and exasperated.
They continued strolling through the market when Liu Yu saw a mirror. In the mirror, she saw herself transformed into an ugly monster.
He exclaimed in surprise, "Why does this mirror make me look so ugly?"
The stall owner said with a smile, "This is a mirror that will show you your ugliest self."
Liu Yu quickly put the mirror down, not wanting to see her ugly self again.
Suddenly, a magical rain began to fall from the sky. The raindrops were all different colors, and when they landed on someone, they would transform them into all sorts of strange shapes. Liu Yu was hit by a blue raindrop and turned into a blue rabbit.
He jumped and hopped on the ground, making everyone laugh.
Bai Suzhen used her magic again to turn Liu Yu back to his original form.
Liu Yu, panting, said, "This magic market is too dangerous. Let's leave quickly."
The group nodded and hurriedly left the magical market filled with surprises and frights.
They continued walking and came to a forest. A layer of mist filled the forest, making it seem mysterious and serene.
Liu Yu walked cautiously when he suddenly heard a strange sound. He said nervously, "Could there be some monster in this forest?"
No sooner had they finished speaking than a huge monster burst out of the woods, baring its fangs and claws as it pounced on them.
Liu Yu was so frightened that she turned and ran, yelling, "Help!"
Xu Xian, Xiao Qing, and Bai Suzhen quickly used their magic to engage in a fierce battle with the monster.
After a fierce battle, they finally defeated the monster.
Liu Yu breathed a sigh of relief and said, "This journey has been full of thrills and dangers."
They left the forest and continued their journey. Who knew what wondrous things they would encounter next…
