Chapter 87 Ore and Earth Marrow
Chapter 87 Ore and Earth Marrow
"You fell down yourself?"
Xing glanced at Sangbo's two old, calloused legs.
This old leg pain isn't working either? It's like this!
"Oh dear, I wasn't looking where I was going and fell into a hole!"
“Of course, it was definitely not a woman who hit him!” Sambo scratched his head, then glanced at Eve beside him.
This woman is so dangerous, she's terrifying!
"Hmm?" Eve looked at Sambo with a dangerous gaze.
The downtime is over, and the next step is to claim the return reward.
"Cough cough..." Sangbo coughed twice guiltily.
"Well, how about this, I, Sambo, will first introduce everyone to Di Huo."
"If anything happens underground, just look for Di Huo."
"Earthfire? You mean the Silvermane Iron Guards underground?" Bronya asked anxiously.
This trip underground was incredibly shocking for her.
Many secrets unknown to anyone on Earth have surfaced, secrets that even she, as the commander of the Silvermane Iron Guard, was unaware of.
It's easy to imagine how many secrets of the Lower City were kept hidden.
If possible, she would like to make contact with this Earthfire organization.
As an underground, spontaneously formed organization similar to the Silvermane Iron Guard, she was determined to find out something from it.
"Of course! I, Sambo, always keep my word!" Sambo placed his hand on his chest to show his sincerity.
"But even if you introduce us, why should Earthfire help us?" March 7th asked after thinking for a moment. "Just because of your reputation for swindling and cheating?"
Sambo's smile became somewhat awkward. "Of course, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Earthfire has no reason to help you right now. Why don't we just find a reason?"
"With Eve's skills, why would you worry about not having any bargaining chips?" Sambo immediately opened his arms to Eve.
"And let me tell you, everything in this world follows the same principle: find the need, and everything becomes easier. The underground has been sealed off for over a decade; surely there's a group of people who aren't going to sit idly by and wait to die?"
“That…that seems to make some sense.” March 7th nodded.
"But are you sure you won't trick us this time?"
"Don't worry at all! Like I said, Sangbo will never let the guy who helped us suffer a loss," Sangbo said, patting his chest.
Eve glanced at it. "Question."
"Oh, Sister Eve, please trust me just this once!" Sambo said obsequiously.
“Your credibility with me is zero,” Eve said coldly.
"However, I'm not worried about you playing any tricks."
"Why?" Sambo asked, puzzled.
“I was just worried that no one would claim the return reward.” Eve looked at Sambo and gave him a dangerous smile.
"Cough cough cough..."
Sambo felt a sudden pang of fear and immediately said, "Of course, I, Sambo, am very trustworthy."
"Lead the way." Eve completely ignored Sambo.
Sure enough, people who believe in pleasure always manage to do something ridiculous.
"Follow me." Sambo gave a wry smile, then immediately began to lead the way.
Sure enough, the messenger of joy can always turn the fun you create into: you becoming the fun.
Bronya watched this scene and nodded in relief.
Sure enough, only Eve's mother could keep this guy in check.
Sangbo led the group through the streets of Panyan Town, where the lights were dim and the streets looked dirty, a stark contrast to the Upper Town.
Bronya looked around at her surroundings, and the gloom and guilt in her heart deepened.
So this is the kind of environment people in the lower city live in...
Sambo stopped at a secluded spot.
It was very quiet here, there was no one around, there was barbed wire everywhere, and several boxes of discarded glowing stones were piled up around it.
Sambo looked around, then said in confusion, "Huh, Joshua isn't here..."
"Hmm? Is he not here or not?" Eve immediately fixed her gaze on Sambo.
“Of course, it’s not there!” Sambo immediately said.
"Let's change the meeting place!"
At this moment, March 7th noticed the glowing stone next to him.
"What is this shiny mineral?"
"Oh, this is Earth Essence, a type of ore that can provide heating. Aren't the surface and underground completely sealed off? Right now, only the Earth Essence transport line is still operating, sending ore up from underground and supplies down from the surface."
"Most of the people in this lower area are miners who make a living by mining this kind of ore every day. If there were no earth marrow to burn, the people of this world would have frozen to death long ago."
“Earth Marrow.” Eve’s gaze was immediately drawn to it.
Eve was already curious about this energy ore when she was on the ground.
She walked to the pile of ore and took one out.
The ore has a yellowish sheen, is opaque, and has a small volume but a large mass, indicating a high density.
Eve immediately activated the Void System to analyze the situation.
[Target: Earth Marrow Ore]
[Analysis in progress.......]
[Earth Essence: A luminous energy mineral found on the planet Yalilo 6.]
Basic data:
The true density is 10.3-10.4 g/cm³.
The apparent density is 10.2 - 10.4 g/cm³.
Energy density: 170-200 MJ/kg.
........................
"This energy density... even surpasses that of solid hydrogen."
"No wonder Belloberg can keep warm with just a few small heaters." Eve looked at the ore in front of her, lost in thought.
Although this energy mineral has an energy density far exceeding that of ordinary energy sources, the Beloborg has not truly fully exploited the Earth's Essence.
This form of energy conversion is far too inefficient.
Perhaps, if this ore had been used better, Belloberg's level of technology and standard of living would have far surpassed its current state.
Even in the midst of a cold wave, things wouldn't be so chaotic; at least there would be no shortage of supplies, and there would be no need to isolate the people in the lower city.
Furthermore, if Yalilo 6 could connect to the cosmic market, I believe the Interstellar Peace Corporation would be very happy to acquire these ores.
"Hey, Eve, what are you doing? Hurry up and follow me!" March 7's voice suddenly came.
Eve came to her senses and realized they were already far away.
"They're here." Eve put down the ore and immediately followed.
Soon, led by Sambo, they arrived at another rendezvous point.
Looking at the empty scene, Sambo scratched his head. "Strange... Oleg isn't here either. Where did everyone go?"
"So, you're not really leading us on a tangent, are you?" March 7th asked.
"Hmm?" The light in Eve's hand suddenly lit up.
Sangbo panicked immediately and said, "Absolutely not! How could that be! Don't worry, we'll find it right away!"
"By the way, what's that big building in the distance?" Bronya noticed a huge building in the distance that connected the upper and lower levels.
Sambo glanced at it and then said, "Oh, that's the 'hearth,' also the support pillar connecting the upper and lower sections. People used to use that pillar to go up and down, but later..."
"What happened next?" Bronya asked anxiously.
"It's a long story. Anyway, the connection between the upper and lower levels is almost completely severed now," Sambo said, keeping everyone in suspense.
"The connection has been cut off? Weren't you still transferring goods between the upper and lower levels?" March 7 asked in confusion.
Sambo immediately hissed, "Oh my dear sister, you can talk about anything, just don't mention this! I'm begging you, please don't tell anyone!"
