Shu Yun and Gu Jun stayed at the Gu family home for the New Year before leaving. They had originally planned to visit Shen Rujun, but the news of her pregnancy disrupted their original plans. Gu Jun didn't want Shu Yun to travel too much, so he decided to return to the army after visiting her grandfather.

Director Yang paused for a moment, then said, "I'll bring him out for you to meet him at lunchtime."
Gu Jun thanked the people, and Director Yang laughed and said, "It's nothing. You even brought me some good wine. Even if it weren't for your sake, I would still have to let you meet me just for the sake of the old wine."
At noon, as Shu Yun paced back and forth anxiously, she finally saw her grandfather from her memories. She couldn't tell whose emotions it was, and tears immediately rolled down her cheeks. After getting off at the train station, Shu Yun took a jeep back to the military base. The moment she saw the base's gate, she breathed a sigh of relief. She was finally home. It turned out that her little home in the family compound had long since become the place where her heart belonged.
As soon as they arrived at the door, Ah Xi, who had been listlessly lying at Tian Xiufen's door, immediately perked up her ears and barked excitedly at Xiao Lu.
