Chapter 517 Resident Evil 1 - Lisa 6
Chapter 517 Resident Evil 1 - Lisa 6
After sitting there and resting for a while, Lisa opened the space and took inventory of her inventory. There were currently 5 pistols in the space, two revolvers, 6 bullets each, plus 10 magazines of the same type, a total of 72 bullets, three Type 64 pistols, 7 bullets each, plus 20 magazines of the same type, a total of 161 bullets, and only one submachine gun in her hand. The 50 bullets had been used up in clearing the zombies in the dormitory area.
Funds were limited, and Lisa could only buy so much in such a short time. In addition, Lisa also purchased a machete, a special bayonet, and a Swiss Army knife. However, the zombies in the hive were all freshly dead bodies, and their head bones were very hard. With Lisa's strength and cold weapons, she could only take care of a few at most, and no more.
"There are 500 employees in the entire hive. Currently, a total of 32 zombies have been eliminated by myself in the dormitory area. Including myself, there are 467 zombies left."
"There are 233 rounds of bullets left. Adding the weapons those people outside have, this should be enough."
Lisa calculated the consumption and breathed a sigh of relief temporarily. However, as time went by, Matt and the others still hadn't arrived, and Lisa couldn't help feeling anxious.
"I can't waste any more time here. I have to leave here quickly and meet them upstairs!"
If they wait any longer, according to the plot of "Resident Evil 1", most of the members of the task force will be killed, and the entire hive will become more dangerous. Lisa has not forgotten that there are many big guys called "lickers" hiding in the "restaurant" below.
Red Queen detected that the red dot belonging to Lisa had not moved, so she temporarily relaxed her vigilance and turned her attention to the "intruder" who forcefully opened the door and entered the hive. After probe identification and comparison, Red Queen quickly confirmed the identities of the task force members.
The surveillance camera above suddenly turned, sensing that something was staring at them from inside the hive. Kaplan, who also noticed the camera turning, immediately realized that the artificial intelligence Red Queen that controlled the entire system of the hive had 'woken up'.
"report!"
"The Red Queen has locked onto us. She knows we are here!"
"What's the Red Queen?" Alice asked.
"It's the most advanced artificial intelligence system in the world. It's a computer that controls the research center." The captain explained briefly.
The task force quickened its pace and rushed towards the floor where the Red Queen's host was located. Alice, Matt and Spencer followed quickly behind them.
Soon they arrived at the floor where the Red Queen mainframe was located. JD and Ryan were left by the captain to explore the surroundings and take care of Matt, a police officer whose identity was questionable. The rest of the team followed the captain into the control center with the power cutout.
Technician Kaplan came to the control computer, quickly logged into the system, and began to crack the channel password. Soon the gate opened, the lights came on instantly, and a glass passage leading directly to the host area appeared in front of the few people.
The captain stepped into the passage first with a gun in hand. After walking a few steps and finding nothing unusual, he waved to his team members to follow. However, as soon as the three team members entered the passage, the gate closed instantly. Everyone was startled and quickly realized something was wrong.
"Kaplan!"
"I'm checking. The defense system must have been activated automatically. Wait for me, it will be quick!"
Kaplan became nervous and began to frantically type on the keyboard to try to reopen the gate. Alice watched the situation in the passage through the glass of the control center and urged Kaplan.
"How long will it take? Hurry up!"
"I'm trying, I'm trying!"
The entire control center was in a state of anxiety, and the defense system was officially activated. Suddenly, a ray of light flashed inside the passage and headed straight towards the captain and his team. One team member failed to react in time and had his fingers cut off by the ray of light.
The team member held up his severed hand and screamed in agony. The captain shouted to the medic for emergency treatment: "Mei!"
Before the medical soldier Mei could come over, another ray of light changed its height and appeared rapidly, cutting off Mei's head directly.
Alice saw the tragedy in the passage with her own eyes. She collapsed and pounded on the glass window desperately, "Faster, faster!"
Then the third ray of light appeared, and the captain quickly jumped up to avoid it. As soon as he landed, before the captain could prepare, a net of light covered the entire passage and pounced towards the captain.
Kaplan's eyes turned red as he watched his teammates die tragically. He sped up the decoding and input new instructions again, "Okay, okay, okay!"
"shit!"
With the captain's final curse, Kaplan pressed the confirmation button, the channel gate opened, and the optical network disappeared. However, at this time, the captain had been completely cut into pieces by the electric grid, and shattered piece by piece in front of Alice.
While Kaplan and Red Queen were trying to crack the gate code, Lisa in the dormitory area was also trying to open the partition door.
"The employee card doesn't work, the password is wrong, this place is too narrow, and blowing it up won't work. There's no bomb..."
Lisa tried to use magic, but her body's meridians were blocked and the speed at which it absorbed spiritual energy was too slow. She couldn't use any magic at all. Lisa had no choice but to give up leaving through the normal route. She turned around and looked around, and found a vent on the ceiling.
“This size should be fine.”
Lisa stretched out her hand to measure the size of the vent, and confirmed that she could almost fit through it. She then moved a chair from the open room, climbed up, and pulled down the iron net of the vent. Then she threw the net away. Lisa reached out to grab the ceiling of the vent, pushed herself up hard, turned over, and crawled in.
The pipe was very narrow, and Lisa could only crawl forward. She crawled straight forward, and after passing through darkness, a little light appeared in front of her, which was another entrance.
Lisa climbed to the top of the passage and looked down through the iron net. She found that there was a staff restaurant below. It was lunch time when the incident happened, and many people were still in the restaurant.
Several zombies were originally wandering around in disorder below, but suddenly began to gather towards the entrance of the passage.
"They smelled themselves?"
Lisa didn't dare to stay any longer. In order to avoid being discovered by Red Queen due to the sudden gathering of zombies, she hurriedly continued to crawl forward. Along the way, Lisa passed by one passage after another, but still couldn't find a place to go down.
"Well, let's get on with the mission!"
In the control center, Kaplan quickly calmed down and stood up to enter the corridor to continue his mission. When Spencer saw him, he was very confused: "What are you doing?"
Kaplan did not explain, but emphasized: "We must complete the mission!"
"I'm not going to that kind of place!"
"Her defenses are down!"
Spencer strongly refused. He and Alice leaned aside to calm down. Kaplan plucked up his courage and carefully entered the passage alone.
Kaplan looked at the bodies of his dead teammates with grief in his eyes. He took a deep breath and stared at the place where the light was turned on. He squatted down defensively and took the circuit breaker from his teammate. Suddenly, a hand was placed on his shoulder, which scared Kaplan.
